Twitter is and will always be an amazing app. Adding the stories to Twitter is by far the most mainstream and basic app update that takes away from Twitters uniqueness. By adding the story feature it has made Twitter just like any other app therefore making it lose its originality. I know Twitter as a place for people to always speak on what’s happening... sharing pictures, videos, jokes and even news on the timeline. The combination of all of these things together with all the interactions that occur are what make Twitter amazing. Adding stories to Twitter was a terrible idea that now makes Twitter look like every other app. The layout with the stories is also quite unattractive. Please remove the story feature immediately. It ruins twitter’s image. I would have rated it 5 stars if the stories feature was not there.

There have been complaints brought to light by twitter users about their accounts being targeted and hacked by cyber criminals. It has been months and nothing has been done to solve this issue which is quite disturbing seeing that it is a security issue. These accounts are being targeted for their big following as well as the groups they choose to identify in. Content including images are being copyrighted fraudulently off of these users accounts. According to twitters help center under filling a copyright complaint or counter-notice is serious business!, “there are legal and financial consequences for fraudulent and/or bad faith submissions”. This policy has not been implemented and has failed to uphold the security of these affected users. If the issue cannot be solved in the quick manner twitter users would like, it is twitters responsibility to go back to users and update them on the processes that they are currently working on to solve these problems owing to the fact that a commitment was made by the creation of this policy to twitter users. I would also like to add that this is not the first security issue that has not been attended to. At the beginning of 2021 there were crypto currency groups targeting accounts to make money off of users shared and created content. It seems as though users security is not put as one of the top priorities to tackle and ensure a safe environment for users to share content or original works! The translation feature often doesn’t work properly for certain languages and lately, it’s not translating anything. The function just stopped working the last couple of days and when you try get help from the help centre it is useless in solving the issues. There’s no way to contact an actual person and when you select “contact us” it asks you to select a topic and then you’ll fill out a form further describing the issue… but when I select feedback, as it is the only one that fits the issue, it just takes me back to the help centre that tells me how to use the feature. I know how to use it but the feature is not working and I have no way of reporting it properly or asking for assistance. I’d rather have a lengthy response time from an actual person than a bunch of useless predetermined drop down menus that can only solve basic problems. The issue itself of the feature not working is annoying but I can work around it. The inability to get genuine help from Twitter to resolve the issue is what is most frustrating.
