Playground is not only fun, it is addictive. The content is perfectly paced to make sure you succeed, even if you are a total beginner, and the production value is second to none. The instructors and instruction videos are clear and very helpful. The Bootcamps teach the basics in baby steps and you’re playing along with great music right from the start. The subscription price is incredibly fair for all you get.

So post pandemic brain fog is what inspired me to jump into piano lessons. Life went back to normal but my brain didn't! I wanted to resharpen my mind bc I was losing my train of thought mid sentence too often and having a hard time just paying attention to the subject at hand after all the passive short video entertainment I engaged in. In short, it's working, and I'm excited about that! Im reactivating my brain! Learning piano, reading music, timing notes takes focus. And it's rewarding! The piano lessons are well organized, broken down in bite sizes, and the instructors do an amazing job at teaching. And now the piano is a relaxing part of my evening when I practice the songs I've learned balanced with the next lesson. This is the first time I'm learning to read music and the note timing which opens up a whole world of music. Each instructor brings a little different awareness and reminders so it's a well rounded experience. The song bank is superb with easy to difficult pieces so we all get a chance to play great music at our given level. Also connecting my keyboard to my iPad to track the notes through the app when learning is a game changer and makes me so appreciative of where tech has taken us. So glad I chose this program.

The new version is sooo much better than the old one. I absolutely love it. Even if there are still a few glitches. I bought a lifetime membership last Christmas and I really feel like I’ve improved so much. The full video lessons are great and I wish there were more of them. I’ve tried a lot of apps and this is the best one. I think one thing people need to understand is you really need more than one source for learning piano. If you’re serious make sure to get a music theory book. It really helped me with reading music and counting. There are a couple areas this app needs improvement though. The boot camp for one. It’s kinda all over the place. One lesson will be really hard and the next will be super easy. Also, the advanced is very lacking. The advanced camp starts right away teaching 16th notes but they do it in 6/8 time. Seems to me if I’m going to learn something hard I would start it in standard time before I work my way up to a crazy time signature that they’ve barely covered. Also, 2 octave scales and a larger arpeggio selection would be nice. Anyway the song library is pretty good but it needs more Pink Floyd. Floyd has a lot of great piano pieces, Great Gig in the Sky for one. I definitely recommend this app.

I am in an intermediate level having one hour lesson with a piano professor per week (used to be in person some months ago). However, I don’t know the basics and theory of playing music and this application has great and well explained lessons. David Sides is my favorite professor as he explains it so well. So far, I have tried the Easy Piano app and Flowkey. Easy Piano is great for children and teens. It is like a whole game and you get engaged, but what I don’t like is the lack of theory and the arrangements which are not as good as real musical pieces even for advanced levels, that discouraged me to continue using the app. Flowkey is boring and I don’t like the teaching method. My recommendation is to upgrade this app more like Easy piano user interface to make it engaging, it allows up to five users, so I have my little niece connected as well and using it in Spanish while I use it in English. you should maintain the great content, add subtitles in most common languages and add CC for accessibility compliance. It should recognize an acoustic Piano by the device mic, and organize the lessons in a more enhancing way, because it has a whole bunch of lessons listed from top to bottom that looks disorganized. The app takes me back to the top of the list every time I complete a lesson because it really cannot be completed with an acoustic piano, that is annoying, having to scroll down the app for every single lesson I want to try. Also, the IOS app does not have everything what is shown on the tutorials.I want to pay for this app but as it is in this moment I prefer to wait and keep just with easy piano and my real professor until you make progress with a better app.
