How do I get started?
- Maybank customers:
(i) With M2U ID - simply log in with your M2U ID and all your M2U settings will be automatically synced with the MAE app.
(ii) Without M2U ID - register for one online on the Maybank2u website.
- Non-Maybank customers: skip the queue at the branch and sign up instantly with just your phone to enjoy all the benefits of a Maybank customer.
The MAE app will seek permission for the following:
i. Access to your camera to enable you to scan QR code and also upload documents when you apply for a new product or service.
ii. Access to your contact directory to give you the convenience of selecting your contacts when you make a transaction to a mobile number.
iii. Access to your location to offer you the most relevant food listings, marketing promotions or deals by our merchant partners while you are on the go.
iv. Access to your phone’s audio to enable you to make a direct call to the bank's hotline.
v. Access to your settings to enable push notifications to receive Secure2u alerts.
Hi, 1. Third party Maybank credit card of 16 digits cannot use in MAE to do payment transfer for elderly family who can’t go to bank branch at office hours coz parking difficulties; 2. Early e-FD uplift feature not available for immediate fund use; 3. Add New Favourite transfer / pay recipient/ payee is missing in MAE. Website version only offer long list of companies, kedais etc. Cannot create own favourite third party bank accounts like family member Maybank credit card no. for regular payments like old Maybank app. I can only see existing ones created using old Maybank app like family accounts, Indah Water. Pls improve & upgrade MAE app.

First, you blocked me from logging in for no apparent security reason.Second, you forced me to reset password using one of the many options given. However, only one would work and one wouldn't know which is the method unless one calls up to the hotline.Third, you forced me to reset password. Fine. When I entered the same password as the new password, the app rejected the entry and asked me to wait for 24 hours before resetting password again. Hello, the previous attempt didn't go through, isn't it?????After this incident. I'd need to transfer to make another bank my primary bank. Look canggih from the surface but merely introduced a bunch of features that were not thought through. Waste of time.
Secure2U is buggy

I’m reinstalling the app atm due to the issue/bug so thought to leave a review. It’s been ok since the day I’m forced to use it till now that I can’t approve the transaction. This app is not as robust as the old Maybank2U, I never encounter this issue with maybank2u. I totally understand that it takes time to stabilise the new app but being the biggest bank in MY it’s a shame.
Unable to login every time

I really don’t understand how come always unable to login, it’s always showed incorrect password but the things I always note down my password everytime I changed it so it’s impossible they are wrong, then I have to keep changing the password every single time just to login. I not sure sure how many people facing this issue also but with all the bad reviews here you have to do something okay! Been using so many bank apps in my life but this is definitely the garbage app I ever used, come on customer service are you ignoring all the reviews here? Please feedback to your management and do something with it okay?
