Last night, I spent several hours playing and experimenting with the character Sunray. At that time, Sunray was incredibly powerful — arguably too powerful. With just three or four moves, it was possible to destroy a fully upgraded castle. It was clearly overpowered, but at least it was fun to use. Then came the morning update… or rather, the silent update.Without any announcement, patch notes, or even a simple in‑game notification, Sunray was suddenly heavily nerfed. The character went from being one of the strongest options in the game to being practically useless. The difference was so drastic that it no longer makes sense to use Sunray at all. What makes this situation worse is the complete lack of transparency. There is no information anywhere about the changes. The App Store page only mentions “bug fixes,” which feels misleading when such major gameplay adjustments have clearly been made. Players deserve to know when the rules of the game are being changed — especially when those changes affect progression, strategy, and even purchases.Games evolve, and balance adjustments are normal. But doing it overnight, without warning, and without respecting the player community, creates frustration instead of trust. Until the developers improve their communication and stop making unannounced changes that drastically alter gameplay, it’s hard to recommend Castle Clashers to anyone looking for a fair and consistent experience.
