It has taken a while but the developers have kept to their word on reintroducing local sync and I am pleased to say that this new app now meets all my needs and I am pleased to give five starts once again. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - One day later ... Delighted to learn that the developers are interested in customer feedback and are also planning to bring back wifi sync in a future release.Given my high satisfaction with the previous version, I am prepared to wait for the update - hopefully not too long - and look forward to this app once again meeting my needs. Tentatively increased my rating to three stars in anticipation. --------------------------------------Enough had been said about the dreadful pre-order debacle, so on to the app. Oh dear! Features some of us have come to rely upon have gone. No matter how good the app may turn out to be, I will not be forced to put my data in anyone's cloud. Should not have placed my loyalty and trust in mSecure. The advertising says you can disable the cloud but it fails to mention that all other sync options have been removed. I am willing to believe this is just poor customer requirements understanding as opposed to a con, but I shall certainly be looking elsewhere unless development work is underway to reinstate local syncing.

I have been using the app for years and have found it to be very stable and reliable. I particularly like the integration into iOS apps and synchronisation between device and PC’s apps. Being able to store images on an entry is also very useful for various reasons.One wish is for an easy method for reordering of fields within an Item, rather than having to delete and save in the required order - or am I missing something?? :)Another wish is for a quick collapse of letter headings. With fat fingers, I find the alphabet scroll on the right of the iOS app to be a bit difficult to use so collapsing the view to a list of letters would be far easier to navigate.
Latest Version (6) is a Disaster

It is time to abandon what was an excellent password manager. I have been using Msecure for years and am very reliant on it but enough is enough. The introduction of version 6 was badly handled, Macs were updated to the new system when the iOS devices could not update making synchronisation impossible. Now the iOS version 6 is thankfully out. But, what was simple is now tricky. Just finding the record you want can be impossible because you accidentally tapped a small arrow while scrolling the screen. Older Macs have also stopped synching as version 6 is not available on the same range of Mac operating systems as was version 5.

Hi JohninFrance, Thank you for review and sorry you're unhappy with the update. It's true that the rollout was slow on the various platforms. We did increase our platform version requirements which has left a few users not able to sync since they can't install the update on their older OS. However, we're working on a solution for this. Please write in to support@msevensoftware.com and let us know you need support for an older OS and what that OS/version is so we can best come up with a solution.
Petty recent change

I was contemplating paying for this app as I have used it free for a while but a recent petty change has made me rethink … I got a new iPad and downloaded the newest app onto it. To transfer my password to my new device it need to pay … annoying but hey the developers deserve to make some money. I was working my way to making a payment though balking at it being a subscription rather than a one off payment but then fingerprint opening got switched off. Petty, very petty …. Suffice to say I’m not going to subscribe and I genuinely came so close to paying!

Also, the Touch ID feature is simply a paid feature that gets switched off like all other paid features when the free trial has expired.
