It sometimes the simple aspects of an app that make it a go to app. I like that I now have a storage system to save articles. I love that I can highlight apps. I really like that I can save articles on my phone and then read on my mac later on. Its wonderful to read with the majority of advertisements removed and in a standardised format. I like that in a kindle like manner it collects my highlights. Basically, when I first subscribed to this app earlier in the year I paid based on the concept and now I'll continue to pay because it is an app that helps me be a more considerate online reader. I re-read articles that I like and not just once when they first appear. With the notes feature, I can add my thinking or responses and therefore, in an unabashed nerdy way, I can have a conversation with a piece of writing over time. In writing this I've even realised that I can use this app even better.

I came back to Instapaper, as its major competitor dropped RSS support. Sadly Instapaper doesn’t have an option for automated output of articles with a specific tag either.I note the App Store advertises a 2.99 sub - but in reality it’s now 5.99 - I really feel it needs enhancing before such a price hike

Would have given this 5-stars were it not that you cannot highlight on the app. This is the feature I use most on the browser version.

* Redesigned text-to-speech as a floating player throughout the application. You can easily expand the player to navigate to Playlist, select different voices, or manage articles while listening.
* Fixed crash when tagging articles from list.
* Other minor fixes and improvements.
