In Tennis Director you don't play the matches — you run the whole show. Start with one plot of land, a modest purse, and a Community-tier event nobody's heard of. End with a globe-spanning Marquee tournament that the world's top players fight to enter. What you build in between is up to you.
CLIMB EIGHT TIERS
Rise from Community and Regional events all the way to Tour 250, 500, 1000 and the elite Marquee. Every promotion must be earned — hit the prestige, capacity, reputation and facility requirements, then accept the sanction and step up to a bigger, richer stage.
BUILD YOUR VENUE
Lay out courts, raise the stands, add roofs and expand your land. Choose your surface — clay, grass, hard or indoor — knowing it shapes who enters, what it costs to maintain, and how badly the weather can hurt you. Keep the place in good condition or watch your reputation slide.
SIGN THE STARS
Players pick their events based on prize money, surface, facilities and loyalty. Pay appearance fees to lock in a headliner, out-bid the rival tournament running the same week, and turn a thin draw into a marquee field.
DO THE DEALS
Court title sponsors and category partners, negotiate broadcast rights across world territories, sell memberships and season passes, and set a ticket-pricing strategy — full stands at value prices, or fat margins with emptier seats. Your call.
BEAT THE WEATHER
Rain and heatwaves can wreck an edition. Read the forecast, buy the right insurance, build a roof — and when the storm hits mid-tournament, decide on the spot: delay play, push through slick courts, or bring matches forward to beat the rain.
RUN THE BOOKS
Manage cash, loans, payroll, maintenance and season-end tax. Borrow to grow — but mind the interest. One bad rain-out with no cover can fold the whole tournament.
