StressWatch relies on your RHR (Resting Heart Rate) and HRV (Heart Rate Variability) data retrieved from Apple Health.
We'll analyze and interpret the data to determine your current stress levels. We constantly monitor your status and remind your immediately if your stress levels get too high so you can take action right away to help reduce your stress levels.
#How can StressWatch help you?
- When you work late into the night, StressWatch can remind you that your HRV is low and you're stressed - a gentle reminder to help you understand that it's time to get some rest.
- When you're at a social event and you have to force yourself to smile, we'll remind you that your HRV is low and you're stressed - a gentle reminder to get some fresh air and recharge.
- When you've had just a bit too much to drink, we'll remind you that your HRV is low and you're stressed (because alcohol is a stresssor) - a gentle reminder to let up a bit on the cup, drink some water, and take care of your body.
- You can constantly monitor your HRV levels (and stress levels) from your Apple Watch by adding StressWatch to your Watch Face.
- Paired with proper exercise and adequate rest, monitor and analyze your weekly and monthly stress levels over prolonged periods of time; you'll realize that you're getting better as time goes on.
#Design Concept
We created StressWatch with the sole intention to help people to reduce anxiety in this age of stress and pressure. However, data and numbers do not have any meaning if the user is unable to interpret the data. (Not everyone is a rocket scientist!) So it got us thinking: how can we design a app that delivers numbers and data in a friendly manner that will help users to reduce stress and anxiety. Thus, we created the "Mr.Fizz", which is the foundation of our product design. The "Mr.Fizz" will change colors as the user's stress levels rise.

Fantastic accuracy! And highly motivating for someone with ADHD & Demand Avoidance. It has opened my eyes to levels of stress during situations I thought I was just more focused for - the increased focus is caused by a heightened stress response. The app’s prompts are also relevant to times when my stress is actually heightened (instead of standard reminders at set times of the day), which has significantly increased my motivation to take the prompt on board and do breath work or be more aware of where my body may be holding tension. My average resting heart rate gradually decreased each day over the first week of using it and my overall stress gradually improved also (until the weekend hit, and that was a whole different ball game of self awareness!). As well as my sleep levels and quality with some valuable insights and information into sleep cycles and improving sleep quality too. There are also instructions and settings included within the FAQs of the app for all users to increase the amount of times your watch will read your heart rate - but it does create a higher demand on the watch battery which has been a bit of a challenge, but I try to remember to put it on charge whenever I’ll have a period of time that I know I’ll be settled and relaxed for anyway, when I shower and when I am preparing for bed, and it seems to keep up. The pro version is highly worth the discounted rate of $40 per year if you can afford it when the app offers it, otherwise you can still get basic data regarding your heart rate variability with the free version - low variability means your heart rate is remaining in a state of tension and stress and isn’t receiving signals to relax and settle, whereas high variability means your heart rate changes often to adapt to movement, excitement, relaxation etc as it should when the body and mind are functioning at a healthy level.
Adorable and easy to use, but please add text size options!

I really love the StressWatch app! The graphics are absolutely adorable, and the interface is very intuitive and easy to navigate. It has been a wonderful tool for tracking my daily stress levels. However, my only issue is that the text font inside the app is quite small. It makes reading the data and insights a bit difficult for me, to the point where I have to specifically put on my glasses to read it comfortably, which can be a bit frustrating.I really hope the development team could consider adding a "Text Size" adjustment in the settings, or support the system's Dynamic Type feature in a future update. It would make the app so much more accessible and perfect! Thank you for the great work!
A great tool for stress awareness!

’ve been using StressWatch for a few weeks now, and it’s been incredibly helpful in raising my awareness of stress levels throughout the day. I love how it uses heart rate variability to give me simple, actionable insights. The notifications are well-timed and often spot on—I use them as reminders to pause and breathe. The interface is clean and easy to understand, and while I’m still on the free version, it’s already added a lot of value. I’m seriously considering upgrading to the paid version for more detailed tracking. Highly recommend this app to anyone looking to better manage their stress and stay mindful!
Love it with feedback

My favourite app to date. Just the developer embedded message about not allowing users to set their own caffeine goal is a total over-reach. People can manage their own health and the best thing about this app is the functionality to gather data about yourself. But limiting user capability to gather information towards our own user-set goal isn’t ethical, it’s overreach and borderline population control. Focus on empowerment because that’s what this app does best.
