Why do i think it is the best? Its very intuitive, the controls make sense and its fully-featured with lots of good useable fx including time stretch for audio. You can also import your own audio and have it chopped-up (sliced) and then assigned to pads you can play. I used to work as a professional music producer and even now i use different DAWs so it’s fair to say I’ve seen quite a few samplers over the years, on Mac OS as well as IOS. This is the one to get. Well done to the developers! Wish list: I use koala sampler also on my M4 Mac (because you can open and use IOS apps on a desktop or laptop Mac). However, you cannot do what you can do on IOS with your fingers, like zoom on waveform. Could you please add in the Settings a facility to show arrows to expand or contract, if that setting is enabled? Silly name, though… ;)

Fun and Functional - a fantastic tool

This is one of those apps that nails everything that matters. Super intuitive interface, fast and fun to use, which is the essential magic when trying to capture a creative burst, and sounds excellent.Add to that an great output capability. Unlike so many other audio apps this one does not trap your work inside its own ecosystem but instead allows you to take your work to other platforms with ease for further work.This has become my go-to ideas capture tool on the go and an essential grove-making resource in my workflow.

Very impressed with this after a few months of usage. It integrates well with DAWS such as Cubase iOS. But standalone is my favourite mode. Very elegant interface, it’s so easy to get started and it offers a lot of depth when you’re willing to explore. Professional quality results, and of course most importantly it’s fun to use. I recommend this to anybody who wants to work with samples and loops, and wants to use an interface made for touch screen, rather than a sampler app emulating a physical sampler e.g MPC.

Think about how much money you have spent or could spend on buying hardware. Now consider the few dollars this app asks for. Within minutes you can be taking samples or utilising your existing sample library to make sick beats. Kill your GAS, buy this app.Feedback for the developer: I’d love to be able to change the theme of this app. I know you have a design style, and that’s part of the brand, but some customisation other than background would be nice.
